Terms of Service
Last updated July 2026
These terms apply when you use the Mainstay website, address report, or estimate form.
What this site provides
The site provides general information about electric service, outages, nearby grid infrastructure, and possible battery savings. It may also provide a sample estimate based on information you submit.
Estimates are not promises
Every estimate is informational. It is not a quote, contract, financing offer, or guarantee of savings, performance, outage protection, eligibility, or installation. Actual results depend on your utility tariff, interval usage, site conditions, equipment, operating choices, and other facts that this site may not know.
Public records can change
Figures shown on the site come in part from EIA, DOE, FCC, and other federal public records. Those records may be incomplete, delayed, inaccurate, or out of date. We may update, correct, or remove site information at any time.
The address tool is informational
Address matches, county results, utility areas, nearby facilities, and outage examples are provided for general orientation. Do not use them for emergency response, electrical work, construction, property decisions, or any purpose that requires a verified location or official record.
No warranty
The site is provided as available. To the extent allowed by law, Mainstay makes no warranty that the site will be uninterrupted, error free, secure, complete, or fit for a particular purpose.
Limits on liability
To the extent allowed by law, Mainstay and the people working with it are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost profit damages related to your use of the site. We are also not responsible for losses caused by relying on an estimate, address result, map, outage example, or other site information. Some laws do not allow every limitation, so these limits apply only as far as the law permits.
Actual Mainstay services
Any battery installation, operation, payment, savings arrangement, or other service from Mainstay will be governed by a separate written agreement signed by the parties. If that agreement conflicts with these site terms, the signed agreement controls for that service.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the site, interfere with its operation, attempt to access systems you are not authorized to use, or submit unlawful or harmful material.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site changes. The date at the top shows the latest update. Your continued use of the site after an update means the revised terms apply to that use.
Governing law
The laws of the State of New Jersey govern these terms, without regard to its rules about conflicts of law.
